Jim Fritz

The head coach of the Queens University Royals, in 4 seasons, Jim Fritz has taken Queens to the conference final and a tie for first place , has had 3 all-Americans, 8 all-Conference selections, 7 all-Torunament picks and been coach of the year in the conference.
Coach Fritz had been the head coach at Pfeiffer for 12 years. While at Pfeiffer,
he developed some outstanding players, including 20 All-
Americans, 46 All-Conference players, 6 North/South selections,
3 NCAA record holders and 3 World Team players. His teams were
nationally ranked for 8 straight seasons, and won 3 conference
championships. He was twice named Deep South Conference Coach
of the Year and was also selected to coach in the 1997 D-I North/
South game. He also holds the record for lacrosse wins at Pfeiffer
and in the Deep South Conference as well. Coach Fritz is currently top 10 in wins and winning % in NCAA Div II Lacrosse.
Coach Fritz also has participated in the NCAA Yes Clinic and has been selected to speak
at the US Lacrosse National Coaches Convention.
A big believer in the development of lacrosse, Coach Fritz has helped
start 2 separate programs and was also selected to coach and
develop lacrosse in England. In 1992 he held the first ever N.C. high
school coaches clinic. In 1998, the camp hosted Team England as
they prepared for the World Games. He continues to give clinics in
N.C. to help lacrosse grow in the south. He will also be serving as a
board member for both Youth Lacrosse USA as well as the Charlotte
Lacrosse Boosters. A member of the U.S. Lacrosse Executive
committee, he also was the chair of the D-II All-American Committee
for 9 straight years. He has also served on the NCAA Men's
Lacrosse Committee.
Women’s Camp Director
Kate Johnston
Kate Johnston is a 2008 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, who majored in Exercise and Sport Science with a concentration in Physical Therapy and Coaching. Kate served as Captain, Coach, and President of the UNC Women's Club Lacrosse Team, which finished 21-4 this past year. She has been the Site Director for the Rival Youth Girls Lacrosse Club in the Research Triangle area for the past 3 years, coaching girls from Kindergarten through 8th grade. She has conducted Rival's Fall Saturday morning clinics for the last three years as well. Kate graduated from Germantown Academy in 2004 and played for the 2004 Inter-Academic League Championship team.
